Carnatic Vocalist & Neuroscience Student

Mahati Sudhagar is a dedicated Carnatic vocalist and a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. With over 12 years of rigorous training in Carnatic music, Mahati began her musical journey under the guidance of Smt. Jothi Krishnamoorthy and Vid. T S Krishnamoorthy. She is currently a disciple of the renowned Vid. Amrutha Venkatesh.

Mahati has earned top honors in numerous national and international Carnatic music competitions, including the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival, Saptami Foundation, and Silicon Andhra. Her passion and talent have led her to perform at several esteemed venues, such as BYOM Dallas and Sapthami Foundation, in addition to delivering online concerts for platforms like the Sri Parthasarthy Swami Sabha.

Beyond her vocal prowess, Mahati is also skilled in playing multiple percussion instruments, showcasing her versatility and deep-rooted love for Indian classical music.
