Anjali Prabhala was initiated into Carnatic music at an early age under the guidance of her parents, Srini and Uma Prabhala. Her passion for music led her to pursue advanced training from renowned Gurus such as Vidushi Vizianagaram Vardhani, Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan, Vidwan Vishnudev Namboothiri, and she continues to refine her art under the guidance of Vidushi Amrutha Venkatesh.
A graded artist from All India Radio, Anjali holds a Diploma in Carnatic music with Distinction from Potti Sriramulu University, Hyderabad. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Carnatic Classical Music at the University of SiliconAndhra. Anjali has performed extensively across India and the USA, including the prestigious Chennai December season, and has been featured in various online sabhas.
As an IndianRaga Ambassador, Anjali has collaborated on numerous classical music productions and has lent her voice to a variety of Classical and Devotional albums, as well as short and feature films such as Vindhya Marutham, Payanam, and Sreekaram. Additionally, she has sung for Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dance productions for several senior Gurus in the USA.
In addition to her performances, Anjali shares her knowledge through teaching vocal music at the Amritavarshini Academy in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. A graduate in Computer Science from the University of Texas Dallas, she currently works as a software engineer at a large financial firm, seamlessly balancing her professional career with her dedication to Carnatic music.
