Day 04

Day 1: Muhurtham Puja at Home

Nirupama’s mother’s wedding saree

The festivities began with a traditional Muhurtham Puja at home. Nirupama’s mother’s saree adorned the chair where Dhrithi would sit, ensuring that her grandmother's blessings were with her. The beautiful décor, done by friends and family, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The simplicity and tradition infused the house with a special vibe.

Friends and family

Preparations had started a few days prior, and Dhrithi, the darling of the family, was all excited for the event. The Puja and offerings to Devi were performed, marking an auspicious occasion during Navaratri. Friends and family gathered to celebrate, led by the backbone of the family, Gangadhar and Nirupama (Niru), who are known for their joyful and giving nature. Gangadhar’s mom, always welcoming and cheerful, and his sisters, who flew in from India, added their blessings and warmth to the celebration. Dhrithi’s cousins and Niru’s sister added extra flavor, making it a joyous occasion.

Day 2: Sangeet

Sangeet @ family ranch house in Terrel

The second day was all about music and dance with the Sangeet, a fun-filled event at the family ranch house in Terrel. Friends and family gathered to celebrate Dhrithi with dance performances that continued throughout the night. The ladies delivered extraordinary performances, and the men in black were equally competitive, making it a family reunion to remember.

The dance floor was alive with energy, thanks to good friends Sudeepthi and Sai, who are always with Dhrithi’s family. The night was a blend of excitement, laughter, and togetherness.

Day 3: Mehandi

Mehindi

The third day featured the traditional Mehandi ceremony, an integral part of Indian culture where beautiful temporary tattoos adorned the hands of Dhrithi, her mom, and Chinnu. Chinnu, with her special place in their home and hearts, had matching costumes for each of the four days of the celebration.

The family once again did the beautiful décor with a matching theme. The excitement for the big event the next day was palpable. Pappu Can Chaat (#PappuCanChaat) added a delicious twist to the day with their friendly service and mouthwatering chaat, making the event even more enjoyable.

Day 4: Half Saree Celebrations

When you have a caring mom and a supportive dad, any little princess' dream can come true. This is exactly what we witnessed at Drithi’s Saree Function. The love and dedication of her parents, along with the inherited qualities from her grandparents, shone brightly throughout the event.

Chinnu the sweetheart

The 4th day was the grand Half Saree Celebration. Dhrithi was beautifully dressed, and Chinnu, in her red costume, looked adorable.

The Star of the Evening

Dhrithi the princess

Dhrithi was one of the sweetest and most easy-going kids I've met. She loved to dance, pose for photos and videos, and even during the four-day event, she was never upset, except when we playfully asked her to pose with an upset expression.

A Day to Remember

The decor team from EnSignDecor (www.ensigndecor.com) was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist other vendors. Despite working under the hot sun, they maintained their cool and ensured everything was perfect.

The makeup was next level, making everyone, including Dhrithi and Niru, look even more radiant and charming.

The bartender was funny, friendly, and polite, ensuring everyone had a drink they enjoyed. The live band added a lovely touch to the evening, providing soft and pleasant music that everyone enjoyed, thanks to the audio engineer Bharat.

The Fun and Festivities

Pallaki lo papa !!!

Dhrithi’s event started with a grand entrance in a pallaki, where Dhrithi and Chinnu were carried by all the mamas (uncles). It was a feast for the eyes, accompanied by the beats of the dhol and live band, adding a musical touch to the festivities.

Thanks to my team: Dheeraj on photography, Pasupathi on highlights, Madhu on candid pictures, and myself taking care of the lights for a change.

Culinary Delights

Deccan Spice

The delicious dinner by Deccan Spice was mouthwatering, spicy, and never-ending. The Pootharekulu sweet added nostalgic memories from childhood, making the meal even more special.

Mastermind Ganga tho Niru

Niru and the mastermind Gangadhar orchestrated the event flawlessly, making it a memorable occasion filled with endless joy, love, and cherished memories. The family’s warmth, the lively atmosphere, and the shared moments of happiness made Dhrithi’s Half Saree Celebration an unforgettable experience.

A Grand Family Reunion

A great family celebrations

Overall, Dhrithi’s Saree Function was a wonderful family reunion. A big thanks to Gangadhar and Niru for making us part of this celebration, trusting us, and giving us the opportunity to capture these lovely moments. It was a day filled with joy, love, and cherished memories, making Driti’s dream of a magical saree function come true.
