Music has been my constant companion,” says Shri Krupa Satyanarayan as she recounts her journey. From listening to M.S. Subbulakshmi’s Bhaja Govindam during childhood car rides to performing advanced Carnatic concerts under the mentorship of Gayatri Kamakoti, Krupa’s passion for music knows no bounds. Beyond classical forms, her curiosity led her to explore Hindustani music and even Bollywood productions. As she strikes a balance between academics and music, Krupa credits her parents for their unwavering support. “Music lifts you up, energizes you—it stays with you forever,” she shares, before treating the audience to her soulful rendition of Bala Tripura Sundari.

The Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in McKinney hosted a divine musical concert by the renowned Parupalli Sri Ranganath, accompanied by Chidatma Datta Chaganti on mridangam. The evening featured mesmerizing Annamacharya compositions and a heartfelt Shiva song, aligning with the temple’s Rudrabhisekham ritual for Karthika Masam. Captured beautifully by Madhu’s photography, the event was a blend of artistry and spirituality.
A personal highlight for me was Sri Ranganath using my newly delivered microphone for the first time—a treasure now imbued with divine music.
