A special thank you to Prayaanam and Meenakshi for providing this platform for upcoming artists and for supporting a noble cause.

The Mridangam Arangetram of Chi. Srikrishna Rajagopal, disciple of Guru Poovalur Sriji, was a celebration of tradition and musical mastery held on October 19th, 2024, at Dallas Namadwar. The event was graced by the esteemed Violin Vidwan Shri Vittal Ramamurthy as the chief guest, along with a distinguished ensemble featuring Shri B.U. Ganesh Prasad on vocals, Srihari Vittal on violin, and Dr. Ravi Balasubramanian on ghatam.
In a traditional temple setting, the concert began with a graceful lamp-lighting ceremony and was introduced by Sukrishna’s sister, Meera, who served as the emcee. The performance featured rare ragams, with the highlight being Sukrishna’s performance alongside his guru, Sriji, an honor few students experience. It was a memorable display of rhythm, devotion, and the timeless bond between guru and shishya.
