Seetha Chandrashekhar’s Students Recital at Hanuman Temple

Overview

The recital, held at the Hanuman Temple, was a simple yet heartfelt performance by students under the guidance of Guru Seetha. Accompanied by experienced musicians Raju Balan and Samarth Srinivas on mridangam and her son, Neeraj Chandrashekhar, on the violin, the event showcased the dedication and talent of the students, making for an engaging and memorable concert. Both Raju Balan and Samarth Srinivas provided mridangam accompaniment, adding to the overall musical depth of the recital.

Notable Performances

Among the performers were our own Tanvi and Rishi. A particularly thoughtful touch by Guru Seetha Chandrashekhar was rotating the artists especially with larger groups. This ensured that every student had the chance to be front and center, allowing both them and the audience to connect more effectively.

The Audio-Visual Team

Our team from Saravana Creations, with Dheeraj handling photography and myself on video, had a wonderful opportunity to capture the beautiful moments of the performance. The synchronization of the students’ singing was both visually and audibly impressive.

A special mention to Sridhar Garu from Hanuman Temple, who provided essential technical support by managing audio and offering power for our camera. The temple and its volunteers played a pivotal role in creating this platform for these young artists to present their talents, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for their efforts.

Musical Highlights

Neeraj Chandrashekhar’s solo violin performance was a personal favorite, offering a stunning rendition of one of my beloved songs. Additionally, Vikram’s Thillana performance added a vibrant and energetic close to the recital, serving as the “cherry on top” of the evening.

Conclusion

The concert concluded on a devotional note with a beautiful bhajan, bringing the audience into a reflective and spiritual space. Special thanks go to Guru Seetha Chandrashekhar for her immense creativity and dedication in organizing this recital, which not only displayed the talent of her students but also brought the community together in celebration of music and devotion.
